Born in Zabrze in 1996, Przegendza belongs to the Wrocław composition circle. A native Silesian, he holds the musical culture of his region close.
He studied composition with Dr hab. Michał Moc, prof. AMKL, at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, graduating with distinction in 2023. He completed his organ studies at the same academy with Dr hab. Piotr Rojek, prof. AMKL, also with distinction (2020). Further studies took him to Prof. Julian Gembalski at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, and to Prof. Martin Haselböck (Orgel-Konzertfach) at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He has been a full member of the Polish Composers' Union (ZKP) since 2025.
Przegendza's catalogue spans dozens of works — solo, chamber, choral, and orchestral. They have been heard in Poland and abroad: at the concert marking the 100th anniversary of the Polish Composers' Union at UMFC Warsaw (NFM Leopoldinum); at Musica Polonica Nova 2024 in the National Forum of Music in Wrocław (Something new for MIDI organ and electronics); at the Akademie für Neue Musik 2023 in Lucerne (Movement for chamber orchestra, performed by HSLU Luzern); and at the anniversary edition of the International H. M. Górecki Days at the Silesian Philharmonic (Fanfara Śląska). Monotony for solo carillon opened the 2022 Gdańsk Night of Museums, and mPhasis for electric guitar trio was performed at the XIII Chopin Birthday Festival in Warsaw the same year. ToccatAria for baroque violin, harpsichord, and positive organ was published in 2021 by Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne (PWM).
He has worked with Zygmunt Krauze and Paweł Mykietyn at the SYNTHETIS International Composition Courses in Radziejowice, with Agata Zubel, Nanine Linning, and Szymon Bywalec at the Akademie für Neue Musik (PER-FORM) at Hochschule Luzern, and with Elżbieta Sikora at the Warsaw Autumn composition workshops.
Przegendza performs in Poland and abroad. He has appeared at Musica Polonica Nova 2024 (MIDI organs at the National Forum of Music), in Bachs Fußstapfen in Sangerhausen, the Silesian Bach Festival, the Zagłębie Organ Festival, the Young Organists' Review in Broumov and Wambierzyce, Pax et Bonum Per Musicam in Wrocław, and the summer organ concerts at the former Cistercian abbey in Krzeszów.
Improvisation sits at the centre of his work at the instrument. Within the WROrgany project, dedicated to bringing Wrocław's organ heritage to a wider audience, he has improvised live at the National Forum of Music and on Radio Wrocław.
For Przegendza, listening is also a discipline to be taught. He lectures at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław in two departments: the Ear Training and Musical Imagination Workshop, where he actively engages with hearing as a craft, and the Faculty of Composition, Conducting, Music Theory and Music Therapy, where he teaches counterpoint and practical harmony.
The dodekafonia.pl project, which he co-created during the Culture Online programme, has been recognized by the Centre for Artistic Education (CEA) as a resource for online music teaching.
