Jan Paweł Przegendza graduated in composition from the class of Dr. hab. Michał Moc at the Academy of Music in Wrocław. He is the author of several solo and chamber compositions. He also composed the orchestral Bunt – which was an exploration of listeners’ sound preferences.
He is a laureate of, among others, the T. Ochlewski Composition Competition, T. Baird Competition for Young Composers, Leoš Janáček International Composition Competition GENERACE. He has given concerts in Poland and abroad at organ festivals, including Pax et Bonum and In Bachs Fußstapfen. He has received scholarships from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the City of Wrocław. He is also very active in the field of ear training. He has achieved several successes in this field, including a double victory at the mYear Musical Imagination Festival and 2nd prize at the International Solfège Competition in Ljubljana.
He cooperates with the Department of Ear Training and Musical Imagination and the Department of Organ, Harpsichord and Early Music at the Academy of Music in Wrocław.
